personally saves dogs from the death row line and how we are

lying when we write the state has banned her from pulling dogs

from shelters. People previously posted proof that she is banned

on Death Row Dog Rescue is a Scam face book page but here is

yet another government employee's email stating that neither

Diana nor her group, Death Row Dog Rescue, can pull a single

dog from broward county. If you are not from Florida, that area

includes Fort Lauderdale and many other areas. I got this email

today so it is current. Diana stop lying to your followers. They

deserve better.

Diana you can not pull dogs from Miami Dade or Broward so I am not sure why she would even reference them.
Many people on the DRDR is a scam page are involved daily with helping animals in need.
How many I have tried to help today I can not say, as I do not sit there and count and pat myself on the head as you do. but I can assure you I have avidly tried to save lives today, as I do every day so they can have a chance to love and live.
I do not believe being a hoarder, denying vet care,projecting yourself in your posts into others efforts, and taking credit for others work, and living off of donations
like you are doing is beneficial to your local rescue community. So I can say I do not do as you do. I prefer to not be a scammer.
I have 4 rescued animals surrounding me right now and lets see I cook food from scratch for them to insure they aren't eating garbage and fillers in commercial food, I pay for their food, toys and treats, frontline, heartguard, $455 in vetting this week alone , I cross post and share many many animals and rescues on a daily basis, I donate to various chip ins and rescues as I am able, and I am an avid advocate for animals.
I think you flatter yourself when you list numerous volunteers of your illegal rescue you run, but as usual you are again lying to them as you continue to spread your lies on the scam page and elsewhere. You should learn to keep your promises.

But are you dillusional or have you forgotten on many occassions people have agreed to meet with you and specific documents were requested. to date you post none of these anywhere on any of your numerous facebook pages, websites (oh i mean website),the various rip off reports, scam reports on you or any other pages. why not post them in your notes or your truth page where this above note was posted ????

I want to see vet records for Bailey (aka Marley) I would like to see Vet records for my dear Lily whom I adopted from you, and those of her brothers and sisters and mother Dolly (aka Diva ) along with all of that litters adoption records as you gave NO ONE contracts . Vet records for Buddy, Dolly and Molly, and all other dogs you had at the blue lagoon. Now for all the female dogs and puppies be sure that you have their full records with their spay and neuter records too.

I would also like to see records/receipts for tick and flea medications, and heartworm meds for the dogs you have had in the past 2 years.

and to answer your question. YES I would take a dog I pulled from the pound to the vets to insure they are healthy before bringing them into my home with my other animals. When I adopted dogs from Broward I did take them to the vets. Now I am sure donators would rather you use donations to take dogs to a vet - then to let them die while the donation goes to your bills, Donators should not be paying for your cigarettes, wine, cable, rent,, etc
Diana you constantly slam MDAS and Broward for not taking care of their dogs and how unhealthy they are. Why do you not quarantine dogs who come into your care before you put them with all the other dogs? why do you risk all of them ? other rescues do this. Do you think its a good idea to take a new puppy into your care and directly send it to an event? without quarantine to see if they are carrying any desease ? You are careless and reckless and have no regard for dogs health. Its not a numbers game Diana .
Why do you run an illegal rescue? why are you not registered with the DOA so you can legally accept donations? why are you not registered with the IRS as a non profit as you state you are ? Why do you choose to not have the dogs in a safe correctly zoned building? Why do you lie and scam donations? these are just a small sampling of questions I have for you.
If you want to save dogs, do it in a responsible fashion that ensures their health and safety. they are not safe if you are housing them in a small 2 br rental home that is residentially zoned and you are only allowed 3 dogs in.

I am unsure of what you are trying to when you mention your donation to the your rescue was only $100. and we do remember you have no income, that is your choice not to work. if you choose to work for the rescue then you should be receiving a Paycheck and paying taxes like the rest of the USA . Not just wrecklessly paying your way through life with monies collected for dogs in need. so thank you for once again pointing out what money you have been living off of. I am sure the IRS would be interested to know you fail to file your income with them. Out of your pocket ??? HA you boast how you ran up credit cards and didn't pay them as if you are proud to rip them off. you collected over 2000 adoption fee's and lots and lots of donations of money and items you sold to get more money that went to ... YOU. Oh and yes Diana about my Lily her mom Dolly and her 6 littermates could you tell me just where they were from. As you told me they were from Mirta Maltes, and she has assured me she did not get them to you. and Dolly the mom - you told her new owner that you found her in a dumpster. funny her and her puppies you gave different came from stories. I assume you lie so much you have no recollection what the truth is . Polly and her pups sat schelduled to die at Animal Control of West Florida why Diana Peters of Death Row Dog Rescue pimped their picture out on Death Row Dog Rescue's facebook page asking for help in form of donations for boarding costs for these sweet babies she saved.

ALL LIES!!!! Hundreds of dollars were donated towards boarding of Polly and her sweet pups to DRDR .... and facts proved Ms Peters was not able to pull Polly, she never even tried. Friends of Chipley volunteers saw her posts and and commented that there was no holds on Polly & pups please contact the people who could ensure Polly and Pups safety.

How is this saving dogs Diana Peters? How ? lying, taking in donations via facebook and paypal with false information.

Shame on you for exploiting this mother dog and her puppies as that sat waiting to die.

i see posts for polly and her pups when did terry get them? or are they coming ??? i see friday you posted you are boarding them... then there are people who posted you don't have them they are being killed tomorrow. are we? or do we have them?, or are we getting them from Terry? - so i can help with posts and put out the fire that is burning on our facebook page? it looks pretty ugly right now. please reply asap my cell is dead i have it on the charger i am working hard and trying to get fundraisers going and i don't need people who are going to support us to see this and think badly of us. we need to respond and clarify. Hello,

my name is Sherri Manfredi and until yesterday I was a volunteer with Save A Death Row Dog/ Death Row Dog Rescue run by Diana Peters.

My prayers go out to Polly and her Pups and I hope that they get saved. I wish I lived closer to Chipley.

I did not realize until the Polly and her pups incident on Diana's Death Row Dog Rescue page that she was taking advantage of people . When she didn't answer the inquiries from Chipley volunteers about if she had Polly/ or had a hold on her, I got concerned. I wanted her to explain herself to her facebook members. but instead she just deleted it, told more lies, and called people idiots. all the while keeping money that people sent forPolly's boarding.

when i read the post I said to my husband she doesn't mention Polly though has her picture she is going to say it wasn't for Polly but she wrote 'these dogs" i guessed this would be her excuse. (I've heard her excuses before)

i said this to her as well as fact i needed her to be truthful on facebook about where Polly is. and she went on with her Tony Robbin's quotes and calling people idiots and saying well she spoke with one of the volunteers at chipley and they wouldn't let her talk and just cursed her out. then she called Judy who runs Chipley and got it alls sorted out that the two volunteers on her page make trouble always. I'm thinking but they only asked her to contact chipley and put a hold or verify so polly didn't get killed monday.

also her post asking for monies with pollys picture for(chipleys picture of polly from petfinder) she said i am boarding these dogs. She doesn't have any dogs in boarding. her friend Terry (Terrance Rosenberg) has dogs being boarded. and says Terry is trying to get Polly for her.

now a week prior Terry asked us to post polly and her pups and the two other dogs he changed their names to Bonnie and clyde (who he got on the weekend of the 20th) and i think another dog or two and ask for fosters / adopters and i posted them with the info they were coming on the 20th. that is how Diana got their picture. well then terry said another rescue had hold on polly not coming. so that was that. he came with the older 2 pups he renamed bonnie and clyde and diana didn't have room we took pictures and posted for a foster or adopter to call diana for details and Terry put them in boarding. a facebook member posted he was interested in them and wanted to meet, and he called diana. she had him call Terry directly to answer questions etc and set up with Terry to meet as it was his dogs. i was told if we got adopted out we got the donation for them.

i was an administrator on her facebook page, along with her . she posted that picture and plea for Polly. and signed her name. she then ignored comments from Chipley volunteers.

I couldn't respond to them as i didn't know the status of Polly. i wrote her a letter inquiring if we had or were getting Polly and pups that i couldn't respond to post as i didn't know the status . she called Linda and Michelle liars and fruitcakes and that she spoke with Judy and worked it all out. I have my emails from her.

then she said to someone on facebook i guess that she didn't post it... that a Teresa did. there are no Teresa's that work with her at the present.

I am ashamed that i was part of this organization. i was trying to help her fundraise and get her stuff organized but the more i saw the more screwed up it all was.

her funds she collects she does not keep track of and takes money and spends it as she needs for her groceries, cigarettes gas bills etc.

she keeps the dogs in a rental residence with too many dogs in house

i always thought she had a good heart and loved the dogs but i kept seeing her dump things on people like the adoptions and events she would bail on untrained volunteers.

she may have started out on the right mission but somewhere along the way she thought she was above others, and didn't need to account for anything she does.

do i think she gets rich off the dogs no. but i know 501c3's have procedure. and she wasn't following any procedures, or allocating any funds. you have to show where funds go.

not just pay all your bills rent cable, fpl water groceries and cigarettes, pocket all you want, and not account for it.

the dogs in her home right now are dogs others pulled in their name for her from Miami Dade and brought to her, one that came from Terry not sure where from no paperwork just a shoddy shot record writting on a card, doesn't even have the dogs name weight description on. and mom and pups from the fields in homestead. she had sick puppies that died and just this weekend at Miami expo took two puppies directly brought to her friday night from Homestead fields and brought straight to the Anamalia Pet Expo in miami beach on saturday. no shots no vet check no worming NOTHING and adopted one out . the other sent home with a volunteer they may have someone for it. the adopters were not given proper papers etc.

anyways sorry to ramble on. i just want to verify for my own sanity .... is there a Judy there? the volunteer linda i think says no its Malva i think she told my husband. he has the contact info. but i just wanted to know.

anyways i don't know what can be done about how she does things but she is not doing right by dogs, or by people who donate. prior to the polly incident she took in donations for gas to get pups and dogs coming from GA to florida for pickup. we never got the dogs from Hope. but she kept the donations and rationalizes why its ok to keep its for the dogs. and she never advised them that they didn't come. acted like they were in foster.

my husband says she is banned from pulling from Chipley as is Terry ( Terrence Rosenberg) according to Linda. is that true. i ask as other volunteers who work with her, she told she can pull .

i don't like the drama or the fact money is taken from innocent people .

i pray i find another rescue to work with and that i can trust again in what they are doing.

my love goes out to Polly and her piglets ;) one of DRDR volunteers told me she has a foster for Polly and i told her honey Polly isn't coming . :(

I appreciate the information and your concern for the way this woman is conducting her business. My name is Belva and I am the manager of the Chipley shelter. We do NOT have an employee named Judy and Diana Peters never contacted me about rescuing Polly and the Piglets. I require a valid 501(c)(3) for any rescue who pulls dogs from our shelter. In addition, when a new rescue contacts us about pulling dogs, we do our very best to do a little background research on the rescue before we send these dogs out. From what I can tell, Ms. Peters simply told people she already had Polly & her piggies and was in need of funds for their care. Polly and those babies have not left my shelter yet and when they do they will not be going to Diana Peters. Neither I nor my assistant, Sommer, have had any conversations with this Peters woman and we are the people who have the final word on where our dogs are sent. I do have wonderful volunteers and crossposters who get our dog info out to the public and to rescues via the internet, but all decisions regarding the dogs belong solely to me. Linda and Michelle are two of my best volunteers...I can assure you they are not idiots and not liars. Sue Bruce is our transport coordinator and has my full and complete confidence. I talk to these three ladies on a daily basis and they know who has been rescued, requested or transported. They are very protective of the welfare of the animals in my care and would certainly have a problem with someone being dishonest about having pulled Pollyand her piglets (or any other animals).

Thank you for recognizing a problem and being willing to speak out.....also, you might want to discuss certain practices with the local animal control authorities..

still she kept this money and just deleted facebook posts. Shame on you for taking advantage of a dog schelduled to die. How can you call yourself a saver when you lie and cheat and use these sweet animals? How? where is your proof to discount any of this. it took one donator quite a while to get her funds back, and only did as she filed a complaint with paypal. stop taking advantage of others to bilk donations out of them. if you need cigarettes or your cable paid...just ask for what you need... a little honesty and sincerity can go a long way!!!!!!!!!!!!

This above letter plainly states that Diana Peters has never registered with

the Dept. of Agriculture. Providing the facts and evidence.

On our Death Row Dog Rescue is a Scam facebook page Sabrina wrote

to Diana the following:

Section 496.404 defines a charitable organization as any person who holds himself out for humane purposes.” You contend that your DRDR acts for humane purposes. Accordingly, you were required to comply with Chapter 496. For instance, pursuant to section 494.405 you were required to file a registration statement prior to soliciting funds. Section 496.407 also required you to file an annual report prior to soliciting fund. Turning to subpart (2)(e) of section 496.411, “Upon request, . . . The written financial statement must be provided within 14 days after the request and must state the purpose for which funds are raised, the total amount of all contributions raised, the total costs and expenses incurred in raising contributions, the total amount of contributions dedicated to the stated purpose or disbursed for the stated purpose, and whether the services of another person or organization have been contracted to conduct solicitation activities.” Please consider this my request pursuant to subpart (2)(e) for you to post on your page within 14 days your financial statement for the immediate past fiscal year.
• According to Section 496.415, which is entitled "Prohibited acts," "It is unlawful for any person in connection with the planning, conduct, or execution of any solicitation or charitable or sponsor sales promotion to: (1) Operate in violation of, or fail to comply with, the requirements of ss. 496.401-496.424.

Animal rescue is a very emotionally charged thing. Seeing the faces, reading the bios and actually meeting the animals who are on death row can be absolutely heart wrenching. The odds are against these animals, and often there is a frenzy to try and save them as their time draws near.

Placing any animal needs to be done with discretion, whether is it a foster or an adoption. It isn't enough to take an animal in just because it would have been killed in a shelter. In the wrong hands, an animal can suffer a fate worse than death and too often no one will ever know about it.

If the animal is going to be bred, sold for bait, if there are already too many animals in the home it goes to, if there is no money for timely and proper veterinary care or even to buy enough food, if an animal is going to live in a crate or be subjected to other aggressive pets' attacks and in the case of a foster improperly networked and placed in yet another irresponsible environment or dumped at a different shelter: how is that considered rescue?

There have been alot of bad things happening to local shelter animals lately and it needs to stop. Those without adequate knowledge and experience should not try to broker foster homes and adoptions. People who cannot and will not properly care for an animal and ensure its well being have no business taking possession of that animal.

There is no other feeling in the world like knowing that you have helped to save an animal's life, but for it to be valid it has to be done in the best interest of the animal, not for some sense of feeling like a hero or a desire to be pat on the back for your involvement. What kind of hero are you if the animal is neglected, abused and/or ends up dead?

The dog pictured in this article is the most recently discovered to have been placed in an unfit environment. Fortunately, he is now in good, loving and responsible hands and receiving much needed medical attention for the abuses he has suffered. Diana, I'm writing you here since you've blocked me from the DRDR page (for no reason as I never personally attacked you or said nasty things to/about you). Here are some questions I'd like you to answer, since you're so willing to "clear things up:"

1. What is your procedure for bringing in new dogs to the rescue? (I ask because in my time at the ranch, there was NO procedure. Dogs were brought in and immediately ran around with the rest of the dogs on the property, effectively putting all dogs on the property at risk).

2. What is your process for homing a dog, in detail (i.e. how do you check references, do you do home checks, etc.)? (I ask because I personally witnessed multiple times dogs going home with NO home checks and poor (if any) reference checks-I was asked to do some of those reference checks when I had no prior rescue experience and no training.)

3. You attended one adoption event in the 4 months I volunteered there, so how could you personally make sure each dog went to a loving forever home when you don't even know the people who "adopted" your dogs? ("adopted" is in quotation marks because it was more of a buying experience - if someone had the cash, they got a dog.)

4. Why do you blame this page and the ex-volunteers who started this page for your not being able to pull "death row dogs" when you've been banned from Miami-Dade Animal Services for years (and well before this page started)?

If I get sound, logical responses to those four questions (not lies), I'll "unlike" this SCAM page....but if history proves accurate, she won't even acknowledge this post.

  Good afternoon, Nancy--I will be very happy to answer the questions you wrote here:
  1. Well my proceedure was pretty simple--The dog was in the Line at Miami Dade and within an hour or even less most often the dog was going to be dead. Let's start there first-I would receive numerous calls-emails begging for me to take this particular dog in before and there were no other Rescues, Fosters even the boarding places generally were full so I took them rather than to let the dog die. Most of them have Kennel Cough so no big deal with the proper anti-biotics and tons of exercise good food they all most all get over it within a few days. The other dogs pretty much were over the Kennel Cough and had all of their vaccines-Once they have their vaccines and if they have already had Kennel Cough they do not get it again. Secondly, I would have to have kennels made and totally seperate from any of the others which basicly I would only be able to have maybe 5 to 6 rescues if I wanted to isolate each one when they come in. When a person takes their dog to a Vet and they are sitting in the waiting room with many other dogs-what do you think the Vet does>> Have completely seperate waiting and examining rooms for each and every dog. If the dogs have had their vaccines, the chances are extremely slim they will catch anything from the others.
  2.-If the place was absolutely perfect Oh Yes home visits are wonderful. I had the Darcy group which included Teressa, Valerie Gloria and a couple of others that at the intense meetings we had--they committed with their honor and love for saving dogs thatt hey would do the proceedures such as referenses checked before the dog leaves-the adoption contract is pretty detailed and these committed volunteers were supposed to do a follow up after the dog was adopted within about a week later to see if their were any issues-If you were helping at these adoption events-did you check the referenses? Nothing is perfect by no means--but death was the only other option for these dogs and puppies-
  3.-No My Dear friend I never left the property-Not to go to a beauty shop-not to go see my family over the Holiday's not to even go to the store--I could not leave the property--I trusted the Darcy group of committed volunteers to make sure the references were hecked-after every event I would go over everything with them pertaining to the adopters-
  4-Well for starters-the 2 volunteers that really did start these lies and destruction were caught stealing-2 witnesses saw them first hand--Secondly so many just Opinions have been thrown out there witrh No Proof submitted-Just like your comment that I am banned from Miami Dade--I can see you did not read the postings I put there explaing about how many Rescues were suspended and why--and my nose to nose meeting with Dr. Pizano--I was never suspended from there for I was never registered as a 501C3 with them-How can you suspend someone that was never even registered with them except as a puller for other 501C3 groups--I will send more info to you if you need--Thank you for caring-If you want to really know the truth--I suggested a Pollygraph test to see who is lieing and who is the thief---Diana

So... Facts are Facts : Diana Peters IS illegally soliciting donations as she is not registered with the Florida Dept of Agriculture. You can even call the dept, or do an online chat . She is NOT registered with them.

She claims to be a 501c3 Non Profit Organization. it is clearly shown on her facebook page, and website http://www.saveadeathrowdog.org/ (to accept donations in Florida they do not need to be a 501c3 - so why represent yourself as one?) Search IRS - Search Charities and Non Profits and you will not find Death Row Dog Rescue Inc.

Death Row Dog Rescue is also breaking many city, county, and state ordinances. She lives in a 2 bedroom residential rental home that is not zoned for a rescue, She is not licensed to operate a business there, there is no tax certificate, the city allows 3 dogs in a residence . For a woman who says she ran a business for 40+ years in antique reproductions, why does she not know what it takes in Florida to operate? It is all easily googled ?

Diana Peters of Death Row Dog Rescue, Inc has on several occassions admitted to living off of donations. She states she has no job - no other funds. She pays her electric, water, rent, cable, internet, food, wine, cigarettes, gas, etc with donations she solicits for dogs care.

This is illegal and immoral. Now, if she was a proper 501c3 she could receive a paycheck (and pay taxes like the rest of us) and with her paycheck pay for her personal needs. this would all be broken down in operating costs, and she would show documents where the money was going to. (like other charities and non profits do)

In conclusion all that I can say is that a lot is not right with this rescue, a lot of legal registrations/documents are not to be found and people should do their homework.

I am writing this letter to educate you about something happening in your very own community that needs to end immediately. Fairwarning the content herein may stir your emotions and may even make you a little ill, it certainly turned my stomach. Now operating in Fort Lauderdale, a dog rescue “group”, or rather, its owner Diana Peters, is keeping dogs in deplorable conditons. There are neumerous code violations, the dogs are infested with ticks and worms, she adopts them out without proper vetting, and there are just a few of the claims we have received from former volunteers or good people like us who only wanted to help. I decided it was time to write this when I found out that dogs are dying on her watch, and then she buries them in the back yard.
I became interested in this group when looking to adopt a dog last year- I searched for local rescue groups and found ‘Death Row Dog Rescue” on facebook with a rather large following. I wanted a pit bull or some type of pit mix, and thought given the title, this group may have a few. I went out to one of their adoption events, and just started to get familiar with what they were doing. I was also looking for a cause to lend my time to as I missed volunteering, I was thinking this would be a great way to get involved.
Not long after, I noticed a post on craigslist about this organization and how they were collecting money for dogs not in their posession. I did not really understand and blew it off as internet chatter. In March, Diana Peters posted that she needed fosters, urgently, because her property was being sprayed routinely for pesticides and needed the dogs off site. We decided this was a commitment we could make, as she was asking volunteers to take dogs for a week only. We went to pick up a brindle mix but when we got there she would not come near us or Diana. I’ve been around animals a very long time and it was clear that the pup had not been socialized with other dogs or people properly. We noticed a beautiful bull terrier in a yard all by herself. That was a signal to me that the dog may have some issues, but I wanted to inqure about her. Diana seemed to know nothing about the dog.
She assured me the dog was fully vetted as all her animals were but that she needed a bath. We took Lady for a walk around the block and we were on our way home. As I gave her a bath I noticed a multitude of ticks, and proceeded to groom her appropriately. I then noticed that her skin was in terrible condition. It wasn’t just dirt- we aren’t sure what it was but it looked like she had rashes all over her hind legs and near her shoulder area. We wouldn’t even let her on our furniture after that.
The next morning, I was totally disgusted at what happened. We had given lady a sheet and a comfortable spot next to our bed on which to sleep. Upon rising to take her out for a morning walk, I noticed a stinging sensation on my toe. I looked down and FREAKED out because there were 200 to 300 worm larvae all over the sheet and my floor. I took the dog out to the back yard and cleaned up my house. Totally grossed out and not sure what to do, I call Diana who assured me someone would call me and bring me some medicine for the dog. That did not happen for another 36 hours. This is when Terry came into the picture- We were supposed to meet up with him to get some medicine, and he was the most impossible person to contact. I proceeded to call around other rescue groups and vets to try to see if someone would see Lady for a reduced fee as I was volunteering, etc. My husband meet up with Terry and got the medicine, like I said 36 hours later.
In the meantime, we were enjoying our time with Lady. I was working on teaching her basic obedience commands and getting her to walk on a leash without pulling. I would walk her more often then other dogs because I felt she needed more socialization skills.
On day 5 of our week long visit, Lady bit one of our neighbors dogs in the face. My husband was already fed up, I had been a little more patient, but I knew that this was it- it was time for Lady to go back to the rescue. We called Diana to explain that due to the overwhelming health issues and the increasing amount of behavioral issues we would have to bring her back two days early. We live in a very small neighborhood and our neighbors were not happy at all with what happened.
Diana flipped out on us saying “I can’t have the dog back here! You agreed to keep her!” on and on. We explained that we signed up to help for a week but feel that this was not the best situtation for us any longer. No matter how much we wanted to help, the reality was we had bitten off more than we could chew. After several back and forth phone calls between Diana, Terry, my fiance and myself we finally said if you can not provide us with the support we need, and you will not take Lady back, we will be forced to bring her to the humane society. Diana started screaming at us and told us if we do she will call the cops and have us arrested and thown in jail.
My fiance got on the phone and explained that we were not her family members, we were not long time volunteers, we were not dog handlers, we were simply people who followed her on facebook and knew that we could make a small commitment to help. When we recieved a dog sicker than what we knew what to do with, recieved absolutely NO support from the rescue to help this poor dog, and were then treated with such unprofessionalisim, I knew that this was not a legitimate business operation.
Thankfully we recieved a phone call about 10 minutes before both of us had to be at work and we were to drop Lady off at ‘The Dog House’. I took her there, spoke to the owners and felt very comfortable with the help they were going to provide. I tearfully left Lady there- wishing that our financials were in a better place and that we could’ve kept her and got her the help she needed. She needed dog rehabilitation and veterarnary care and we unfortunately were not in a position to provide it at that time.
I called to check up on her a week or so later and the owners said she was doing great! I continued to follow up and they said they would get in touch with bull terrier rescue and get her a home. I found out a few months ago she was there for over a year!

When I was frustrated with Death Row Dog Rescue, I tried to reach out for support. I called a few other rescues when I had Lady and their reactions when I told them where she came from surprised me. I started doing research and found one post on Rip Off Report about money that was stolen by Ms. Peters. I tried to contact them to no avail. I started the facebook group in hopes that if anything else happened, someone would be able to find me and we could start to build a case. I started the group in April of 2011, in September 2011 I was contacted by Sheri Manfredi and started to hear things about Death Row Dog Rescue that I WISH were untrue.

I knew pandora’s box had been opened. Here we are today with so many testimonails from others who have had a similiar experience. We have realized this is a National problem, not just isolated to this one organization and we have set out to Stop Diana Peters and Death Row Dog Rescue. We also have members working on an informational website to help people choose reputable organizations to rescue from, donate to, or volunteer their time.

VETERINARY MEDICINE

Veterinary Medicine means diagnosing the medical condition of animals and prescribing, dispensing or administering drugs, medicine, or treatment of whatever nature for the prevention, cure or relief of a wound, fracture, bodily injury, or disease thereof; performing any manual procedure for the diagnosis of or treatment for pregnancy or fertility or infertility of animals; or representing oneself by the use of a title, or undertaking, offering, or hold oneself out, as performing any of these functions. The term also includes the determination of the health, fitness, or soundness of an animal.

These items are offered as examples of services you do need to hire a person with a Florida license and services you do not need to hire a person with a Florida license. My name is Sherri Manfredi and we met Diana Peters in May in a beach motel we are staying in between moves .her room a few doors down from ours. our move date keeps changing but thats another story in its entirty that has nothing to do with this matter . Our daughter quickly fell in love with the puppies Diana Peters had. first 2 lab pups charley and marley ... then it was another dog ....then came Dolly and her puppies. mom a cockerpoo that was tick infested and her white coat black. the pups would come out to eat and romp in the plants. our daughter became the "puppy sitter' and would watch them and play with them. it seemed strange at the time how every couple days Diana would change their age and make them older as they were eating she then began adopting out of motel room. she had no contracts just a receipt book, telling people that came that all her things were in storage she would get to them. even took them to a bar to try and sell. we adopted our girl Lilly from her the runt of the litter that had suffered a head injury before pulled from a homestead home she said. a piece of wood dropped on her head and she had been unconscious and they thought she would not survive. we still have not received the contract which i am thankful for ... the pups were adopted out with no contracts, and the mom went to a local person in the dog rescue community that is using her as a model. a good home. She promised to spay Lilly at 5 months and the past few weeks have been waiting. said planned pethood didn't call her back. 3 dogs were to go, Lilly, Sunshine (a homestead field mother she adopted her pups out ) and Cassie . well no appointment was made. when she rented a house in oakland park she moved in, we helped her. my daughter bonded with her and we looked up to her work of saving dogs. she tells a great story and is a great manipulator. We knew she was a little cooky but thought that was part of her charm. knew she was scattered but thought it was from too many dogs and being overwhelmed. knew her records and non existance books were a mess.. but wanted to help her. All summer long until August 29 I spent endless hours helping this woman. everything ended up in circles and you couldn't sit her down and get her organized. a friend of hers pulled dogs out of MDAS for her and came to care for dogs, (papers in this other womans name) and made med charts etc and told diana we are keeping records where anyone can see then you won't have problems like before. she soon stopped coming. one of the dogs died a slow death. Tino was his name a chihuahua mix. he was neutered and his area red swollen, and splitting open. he soon stopped eating and would lie in one area in the kitchen. she then put him in a cage in spare room and said she was caring for him. never took him to vets. Tino died. she said she paid $65 for a vets to take and cremate. but later when puppies died she said she was burying in yard by Pino she called him. (pino was a chi in foster) she said buried between the fences so other dogs wouldn't get to. we did yardsale fundraisers, adoptions, craigslist posts, got her volunteers. made her an adoption video. on and on. took sick puppies home with us to nurse to health and they died. one Marco i ended up taking to vets. 2 she said she sedated.(dude and dudette) and Marcy i brought to her and she said taking to vets...came back with body and put in her freezer. did Marcy ever make it to the vets..this should be investigated. (she said she took her to Dr Darko's) my gut says somethig different now after hearing her stories. and she ended up saying they died because she vaccinated too young. she adopted out 2 of the puppies that died also. 2 families crushed and stuck with large vet bills. I did it all, and we spent day in day out at her home helping and when i came back i was still working on things we thought of her as family a pseudo grandma for our daughter who is without one. Aug 29 i could not in good conscience continue as alot of facts came to light i was unaware of. I became suspicious after i caught her in a lie on facebook over gas money for dogs coming from GA. we spent all day and night trying to get transporters for these 14 or so dogs and pups. asking for donations for gas. well she got donations in. next morning POOF no dogs coming. first told me on phone the lady i spoke to day before that called my cell from NY took all the dogs ??? ok i believed it relieved these dogs were saved.

then when i got to Diana's home she said I lied to you. the lady doesn't have the dogs ??? i didn't understand why the lie. i now assume because i had the womans phone number I wish i had kept it. she said the lady hope that we were working with that gets dogs out of there offered to pay $125 to our transporter for gas.. she now said Hope made a mistake none of the dogs we chose were there. but on facebook, she didn't clear that fact up. she didn't tell the ones who donated that we weren't getting the dogs. she acted like we had them. this made me uncomfortable. i didn't agree.... it should be up to the person to decide if they want to let her keep money or not. then she started trying to get dogs from Broward through another person... no one would pull for her. she wanted puppies for the adoption events. i started questioning things like her lack of accountability of funds. we did fundraisers/ sales took in donations and she would take money out and buy cigarettes, groceries pay rent, cable, water, fpl. NOW i told her Diana you have to keep track of what is coming in. as a 501c3 you have to account where funds go. she didn't realize i had past experience with 501c3's. and helped set. she said no bernadette said not to worry about it we don't take in enough money. I said it doesn't matter, people who donate are supposed to be able to see where funds go. as a 501c3 you can pay salaries (to yourself or staff) you can pay bills that fit criteria, you can keep 20% profit, you can use for advertising and fundraising but you have to show where each penny goes. i reserched further... becoming increasingly skeptical of her stories. on the 26th she posted Polly and her Pups and begged for help with their boarding. when she didn't respond to Chipley volunteers about the status ... i got concerned and sent her an emai on 8/28 questioning it. Originally her pal Terrance Rosenberg (Have a heart rescue) was getting on the 20th and then he wasn't anymore. so i questioned was he getting now are they on way? i couldn't post response as i didn't understand. i have her response. calling them idiots and stupid she never said she was boarding Polly. made up a ficticious worker Judy . pulled her facebook post and refused to refund money to those who asked for it. i needed her to respond on facebook and tell the truth how could i help her when she was blatantly taking money under a false pretense, under a dog and her pups on deathrow. she lied. i was crushed. wow i believed in her and my family did. and worse how would i tell my daughter . Diana had been using our computer for 2 months. on the morning of the 29th i told her i needed it back that day as our laptop was going in for repair. she threatened me she needed it. dogs would die without her having it. ??? HOW she hasn't pulled from a death row line in how long? she is banned. she goes on and on with her Tony Robbins empowerment quotes, tells how she saves the dogs, and they die without her. maybe at one time that was true, i don't know. but she was lying now. i watched her lie to two volunteers about Polly and told one that she was in GA... no she wasn't. she sent 2 puppies fresh from Josh Augostinie supposedly from homestead fields, to the Pet Expo at Miami beach, no shots no vet check could carry desease or pick up there from others. she wanted to take the 2 4 week old pups i had at time there too. they were just starting solids/wet food. i said absolutely NOT. they had no shots. had infection on feet and tails and were too young to adopt out their lives would not be put in danger. her big quotes put your big panties on, and if it was easy , everybody would be doing it. i left there in the rain that day with my computer. i sent her emails i had from volunteers i was organizing, send her things i had on emails i meant no ill will. i just wanted out . i was not bashing her i was not hurting her. she left threats on my phone. then the threats started last night from her dirty dog provider Joshua Jose Agostinie.. this lady is nuts i want nothing to do with her or her so called rescue that violates so many regulations and codes. i could not be part of her false pleas on facebook or continue to fundraise for her when the money did not go to dogs. I called the police last night after his threats and I pray this is the end of it. If not.... thats fine I am now in the open and will show proof to anyone who questions it. I will support this group and go public. she hurt me and my family and doesn't do right by the dogs. she doesn't go to any of her own events always backs out of them and hides. now i know why... so many in community know of her and her sickness. do dogs need to be saved, yes. but the right way and with medical attention. her facebook page as well as website quotes how she saves dogs daily from death row lines at MDAS - How i ask i never saw it and she is banned . you can go back on her page how she would thank me for all i did, and see my posts on her page. I am ashamed i helped this woman and i'm sorry for the dogs she lets die in her care. i always thought she was nice but needed help. I was there i helped and she is crazy and takes advantage of others hearts... Thats a con... and i am ashamed i let myself, child and husband be conned by her.

Please note this was written on 9/2/11 and alot has transpired and come to light about Diana Peters and her rescue in the last 2 1/2 months. We have endured 2 1/2 months of harassment from Ms Peters after standing up for the dogs, and the people she scams.

It is an incredibly disheartening situation as I continue to see Ms Peters posts dogs she doesn't have and collect donations illegally. This will be updated soon. (thank you)

ascended testicle, open surgical wound that was left untreated, god knows how

many with lyme disease from all of your pet ticks.. should we go on???? Next

question- how many different city violations are you allegedly breaking (let’s do

this one off the top of my mind) hmmm well I cheated and looked at

Let’s see hmmm.. well you definitely allow animals to live in allegedly unsanitary

conditions (anyone who has been within a block radius of your “ranch” knows that

it reeks to high hell), allegedly leaving animal’s medical conditions to go

untreated… now Diana if I had to guess I would say that this is your specialty,

failure to provide an animal with adequate shelter-check, allegedly maintaining a

location where animals fight.. now Diana a personal question here- would you be

the same Diana who allegedly walks around with a “no-no” jug because of dog

fighting and allowed a volunteer to be bitten in the middle of a dog fight in the

past month? I think you are! What about that allegedly “small” little tick problem

you have, if memory serves me here you allegedly call them raisin ticks because

the ticks are so big.. can we say lyme disease? All together now l-y-m-e disease,

hmm Diana what do you think the County would say about your tick problem.

Here’s some advice, maybe next time you change your organizations name you

should say you are a “tick farm”.. I mean you have enough. Maybe people do not

know that this is at least the 3rd name you have operated your “rescue “aka scam

under. Want me to keep going? I have a feeling you don’t. Such a shame that I

was never very good at following directions.

I feel like talking about some of your special little white lies. I’m thinking we

should start with your alleged nonprofit organization status.. well actually I think

I’m technically talking about the alleged lack thereof. Everyone ready to make their

tax deductions? Oh right.. you can’t.. allegedly. Enough picking on you for the

little things… those are only alleged federal offenses if my suspicions are correct..

which I’m pretty sure they are allegedly. Now for your fanpagefreakintastic

internet marketing campaign, or as I like to call it your spam aka alleged little

white lie numbero dos (thought I would do a throw back to your days in Miami,

you know before you allegedly got thrown out of that city and all). Let’s see how

many of those dogs advertised on the internet are actually available and in your

possession. Well there is a picture of Hennessy who is in the possession of

another rescue and also Robbie who was adopted, and then King who was

adopted (contrary to popular belief.. who by the way never belonged to DRDR)

and that leads us into our next question.. How many dogs have you recued from

MDAS lately? Allegedly none because oh yeah allegedly you were never contracted

to pull dogs from them.

Hey Diana, one final question in today’s economy that your hard working fans

who deserve to know where their money is going when they donate to your

alleged non profit organization.. So Diana where does this money go? We know it

doesn’t go to vets because well frankly most of the sick dogs don’t receive alleged

medical treatment, yet alone from a licensed vet. Yes we know you stay up 24/7

giving them your self made nebulizer treatment yada yada yada yawn, med school

is for a reason Diana, likely the same reason vets can charge a lot for their

services.

Hmm so you think adoptions slowed down because Ellis is out of town. Maybe

you and your “head volunteers” should look through the dirt and into the mirror to

see that people are onto you just like those blood sucking ticks you are so proud

of (once again this is alleged).

In closing, who really is the rotten apple here? You, who allegedly committed all of

the above or me who you claimed would dump my dog. Let’s get something

straight Diana, I would never dump my dog.. and I would rather stab myself in

the eye then let her near you, yet alone end up in a place like your “rescue”. All

animals deserve a better faith than that.

For a few months, my daughter and I were contemplating on getting a new dog. I have always had rescue dogs so it was just natural to look around and find rescues in our area. I wasn’t really ready to adopt just yet and felt maybe we could volunteer to put it off for a while. I was unemployed and didn’t feel like that was a responsibility I should take on at the time. Well, I stumbled upon Death Row Dog Rescue in Davie. I thought that might be convenient since we live in Davie too. I called the “ranch” and spoke with Diana about volunteering. She seemed in a rush and very harried, but said to stop by any time we wanted to. Well, we did very shortly after that phone call. What we found was horrendous! The dogs were all running free, big ones, little ones, sick ones… the back door was always open and they came in and out freely… the baby pool was filled with filthy water… We went inside and the smell could knock you down! We jumped in right away! Sweeping, mopping, watering, feeding, playing, doing laundry… there was feces and urine everywhere! It was on the floors, on the walls, on the furniture, in boxes, and on piled up clothes in the house and in the garage. You would clean one room, but because the dogs had feces and urine on them, they would just track it around. Whenever we left there, we put garbage bags over the seats in the car so we would not ruin them and removed our shoes so not to get anything on the rugs in the car. We had to shower immediately once we got home as our feet were filthy and probably had some remnants of feces and urine from all the dogs jumping and playing on us. At times it was so bad that we would strip our clothes off in the doorway and drop them right into washing machine! It was just horrible.

In the middle of August 2010, we fostered a 12 week puppy. You might recall the puppies labeled as the “Krome Avenue puppies”. My daughter had fallen absolutely in love with her! Since she was a puppy around all those big dogs, she was always trampled on! This was around the time with Midnight (who was returned back to Diana twice), Robbie, Jet, Tristan, and Bear. I agreed to the foster on the stipulation that when she got bigger, she would have to go back because we are not allowed dogs over 25 pounds where I live. Diana could not locate her file and pretty much said to just take her because she trusted us (I’ve heard her say that to everyone!). I asked her if she should be on meds that I needed to continue and how she remembered who she gave what if she couldn’t find her files. She just kind of blew me off with her fluttering around and her constant gibberish. Anyway, she gave me pills (Panacur maybe??). She also needed a shot, which I can’t remember what it was for though!! I think I tried to block that period of time out of my life! Anyway, she said she only had one left and asked if I would go to the feed store there in Davie to get the medicine (it had to be refrigerated if that helps knowing). I went, paid for it, and she promptly took it and put in her refrigerator. She took out a DIFFERENT vial and gave the puppy her shot. Well, I thought something was fishy so I swiped the vial. I actually never looked at it for about a week or so. When I finally did, I realized that the vial expired in 2001… 10 years ago!!

Needless to say, after I realized the vaccine expired 10 years ago, I took the puppy to my vet. She had worms, fleas, ticks, kennel cough, and pneumonia. Between all the vaccinations, x-rays, preventative meds, Orkin to treat the house for fleas, and a humidifier, my out of pocket cost was over $2000 (yes, that says $2000, NOT $200)… if you recall in the beginning of this letter, I did say I was unemployed… As a side note, I had paid to have her spayed.

I have not seen the newest location, but based on the previous location, Death Row Dog Rescue has no business being in business! All the dogs lived in the house and just all thrown together in between 2 rooms where they would all fend for themselves. I have read in the past about her fence being broken and how the dogs were getting out and near the canal.

The reason I was there was because through someone else I saw her

facebook page. It was when I got into rescue and thought what she was

doing was wonderful. I went to donate things for the dogs, because I did

not want to donate money since I had never met her. I took a lot of

food, flea and tick sprays and shampoos, and a few other things for the

dogs. Diana was very grateful and gave myself and my boyfriend a hug

thanking us. Overall, she was very nice to us, but I could tell that she

was in way over her head!

I ended up staying that day for more than an hour, nearing 2 hours.

When we first arrived, we had to be very careful where we stepped.

There were dogs everywhere, therefore you can imagine just how much

poop there was. It was clear that the dogs also had fleas and ticks, to

the point where I was a little afraid to get too close because I also did

not know what else they had and was scared of bringing anything home

with me as at that time I had one dog of my own at home. Diana then

proceeded to take us inside to see all the others. My goodness, the

smell was pretty awful. There were dogs everywhere, and by

everywhere, I literally mean EVERYWHERE! She even had make-shift

beds for them in cabinets. Others were in child playpens, and others in

cribs. There really was no actual quarantine. And again, had to be very

careful of where to step. Dogs/puppies were in these tiny bedrooms

walking around on top of their own pee and poop. They were dirty and

stinky.

I really did feel sorry for her. She seemed a little crazy, but I think her

intentions in the beginning were really about saving dogs. I believe that

she got in way over her head, and started seeing the other 'benefits'

that "rescuing" dogs could bring her. It is unfortunate that this has gone

on as long as it has. With that said, I have never gone back there, nor

have I ever donated again. And when I was ready to rescue another

dog of my own, I sure as hell didn't get it from her rescue, but instead

went straight to my local shelter, MDAS.

I do photography on the side and offered to come out to the ranch and take pics so they could have good updated pics of all the "adoptables". This was August 2010. I went with my husband and daughter who is 2 out to the ranch to take some pics. It was very very dirty. There were 20+ dogs running around outside in the yard. Lots of fighting and the pack was LOUD!! I was told the neighbors hated the ranch and they wanted it shut down. When you went inside there were dogs everywhere. every room had dogs in there. And the house was filthy. The day we were there, there were alot of volunteers trying to clean the place up. I went to the "office trailer" and there were small dogs in crates. It was very hot and dark in there. There were lots of dog fights when I was there, aggresive big dogs with tiny small dogs all fighting over food bowls. I took some pics of the dogs outside, but it was so dirty and disgusting I had to get my daughter out of there she had flea bites all over her.
I went back later that week because I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. I entered thru the gate and immediately saw an adorable dog. He was very thin and he hadn't been there the week prior. he followed me everywhere. I asked Diana about him and she didn't have much info on him, she said he was saved at Miami Dade the day prior. He had Terrible Kennel Cough, his nose was dripping with green mucous. He had poop all over him. I offered to foster him but was concerned because I had a cat at home and was told he was ok and not contagious. Being somewhat uneducated in dog illnesses I believed her. She told me to take the dog home. She didn't know me at all, actually I don't even think she knew my last name or had a phone number. I asked for the dog to be hosed off because he was full of poop and I didnt want to put him in my husbands company car like that but She said she didn't have time for that. I put him in my car and went home. When my husband saw him I thought he was going to die. He was covered in poop, fleas, and ticks. There were fleas and ticks hopping off him. We didn't even realize till after we gave him a bath that he was recently neutered and he was so filthy there were ticks and poop all over his surgery. It was oozing and disgusting. It took about 9 baths to remove all the ticks. Meanwhile, our house got infiltrated with fleas and they started to bite us all over. Our house cat who has an allergy to flea bites had to go to the vet to get medicine because her skin was sore and oozing.
The dog kept sneezing and it seemed to get worse, we called Diana and she said he was probably ok but she must have forgotten to give the meds she started him on. She didn't even know which dog we had. We brought him to our vet and got him antibiotics and he was better in a few days. He still had tick issues, it took weeks to get them off.
Sadly, we are honest people and sent her $100 for the dog after she told me we owed money to adopt him, she told us that if we didnt want to adopt him to bring him back to the ranch or pay for him because there were other people wanting to adopt him. At that point he was a member of our family and we were never gonna give him back, but I would never go back to that place. I cut all ties after this!!

I am an ex-volunteer of Diana's and DRDR. I worked with her for three months until I started witnessing dogs and puppies dying in her care after she refused to take them to the vet. The first time I met Diana at the Davie "ranch" my heart went out to her. I saw a woman who was frazzled and way in over her head and I wanted to help any way I could. I trusted her judgement because after all she was the "expert". During my time as a volunteer my brother and I payed for orkin to spray the grounds for fleas and ticks, put four new tires on her truck and had the oil changed, spent over three hundred dollars on cleaning supplies and I had also got her a FOUR THOUSAND DOLLAR donation. Things started to go south after a beautiful little pup I named Bambi died. Bambi was pulled from MDAS and she was terrified. She spent the first few days hiding behind the toilet in Diana's home, Diana's way of quarantining!!! My heart broke for her and I spent about four hours the day I met her holding her and telling her all will be ok. Little by little she came out of her shell. She was a tiny frail little girl that resembled a small italian grey hound. The next day Bambi was spayed. I called to check on her and she said I was a miracle worker....Bambi was running around and playing with big boy Jake and is a different dog!!! I was elated but worried because she had just had surgery. Diana said she was fine. The next morning I called Diana to see how Bambi was doing and Diana was obviously stressed stating that she didn't know what to do when she woke up the bathroom floor was covered in blood from Bambi. I stressed to Diana to take her to the vet. I had to go into work but I offered to go in late and I would come pick up the baby if she needed me to. Diana assured me that Terry Rosenthall would take her. I begged her to keep me posted. I went to work relieved that Bambi would be ok. I tried calling Diana many times that day but she never answered. I found out from another volunteer at 9pm that night that Bambi passed away and Diana's house and she never took her to the vet. I sunk to the floor and broke into tears. When I questioned Diana about it she gave me the runaround. I asked which vet she went to and she said she didn't remember the name, she said it was just down the street. i asked to see the invoice and she changed the subject. She said the dog probably had parvo!!!!! I believe that poor angel was running around and playing rough the day of her surgery and tore internal sutures etc. If Diana would have taken her to the vet she would be alive and well today instead of bleeding out in a cold bathroom!!!!!! Which fate is worse???? MDAS or dying a slow painful death??????? I felt so betrayed by Diana's lies that I had to separate myself from her. She does not have the best interest of the dogs at heart. Out of the FOUR THOUSAND DOLLAR check I handed to her none of the money went to the dogs!!!!!! I am still very upset about this....think about how many dogs those funds could have helped. Diana claims we are trying to ruin her "livelihood"!!!!! Really???? All the monies from donations go to Diana's rent, ciggs, wine etc. It's funny after I have her the large check I saw The huge bottles of wine on her kitchen table!!!!! Dogs were all getting sick, covered in fleas and ticks, dying and being buried in her back yard. Yes, I HAVE WITNESSED ALL OF THIS!!!!!! I have asked Diana many times to post vet records, vet bills, receipts for monies spent on dogs and she never responded. She only blocked me from her page for exposing her for what she is. A scam artist who works illegally and unethically! She needs to be stopped and I will continue to help in those efforts. There was a day I stood by her side, I even spoke on her behalf in court when her neighbors were trying to get her evicted....If I only knew now what I knew then. My heart still aches for the babies who died of internal bleeding, infections, distemper, parvo etc. ALL DENIED VET CARE AND BURIED IN THE BACK OF THE PROPERTY!!!!!!!! I hope you read this Diana.....I am so very ashamed of you and what you have done to these innocent angels!!!!!!!
